The 17 Success Principles: Creative Vision

Author : Momodou Sabally
Creative Vision is the 14th of Napoleon Hill's 17 Success Principles. This principle, which Dr. Hill calls the "hub" of his science of success calls for the use of your imagination in creating mental pictures of what you want and then working toward the actualization of that goal. The imagination is said to be the workshop of the mind. The world's great achievers have used this principle extensively in bringing into fruition their desires.Thomas A. Edison used his imagination to combine to two old principles and create the electric light bulb. The creation of the walkman came about as the application of creative vision on a "failed" attempt to create a new electronic product.Long before he became Hollywood's foremost box office star, Arnold Schwarzenegger told a reporter that he wanted to be Hollywood's best. Asked how he was going to achiever that then-unlikely feat, Arnold told the reporter that "what you do is create a vision of what you want to be, and then live into that picture, as if it were already true."But the starting point of using this success principle (and any other principle) is to state clearly what you want, your desired goal; not a fuzzy or vague wish but a definite goal with a deadline. Something that you truly want; for if you want anything badly enough you will generally get it.Next create a mental picture of your goal. Imagine yourself already in possession of what you want. See, think and feel yourself in already possession of the things you want. In the words of Dr. Wayne Dyer, if you believe it, you will see it!Work on the development of your imagination and use is a tool to quickly and easily attract what you want in life. For imagination, says Albert Einstein, is more important than knowledge. In the words of Dr. Hill whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe it can achieve!
